Bebinca Ingredients Ingredients
  • Maggi® Coconut Milk Thin
    1.5 L
  • Melted Ghee
    350 ml
  • Refined flour
    225 gms
  • Sugar (caster sugar)
    750 gms
  • Egg yolks beaten
    15 pcs
  • Nutmeg (grated)
    1 pcs
  • Green Cardamom Powder
    2 tsp
  • Vanilla Essence
    Few Drops
  • For the Caramel
  • Water
    300 ml
  • Sugar
    180 gms
How to Make Bebinca

Prepare Bebinca

  • Step 1
    In a bowl, add the measured flour, grated nutmeg and sugar. Whisk well to combine.
  • Step 2
    Next, start by incorporating one cup of Maggi® Coconut Milk at a time, and whisking to ensure no lumps form. Continue this process until half the coconut milk is added.
  • Step 3
    Halfway through, add the beaten egg yolks and whisk well. Once incorporated, add the remainder of the Maggi® Coconut Milk and whisk until a homogenous batter forms. Mix sugar caramel to the batter.
  • Step 4
    Pour 1/2 cup of batter in a baking dish & bake at 140˚C for 10 mins (or till it sets well).
  • Step 5
    Now spread some ghee over it with the help of a brush. Drizzle little cardamom powder and vanilla essence.
  • Step 6
    Bake again for 10 minutes. Again spread ghee, cardamom powder and vanilla essence.
  • Step 7
    Continue greasing and baking with 1/2 cup batter until all batter is over. Bake each layer for 15 minutes.
  • Step 8
    For the last layer of batter, spread ghee, sprinkle cardamom, nutmeg and vanilla essence. Bake the last layer for 20 – 22 minutes.
  • Step 9
    Allow cooling completely and demould the pan by gently tapping it from behind. Slice & serve.
