Sabudana / Sago pearls200 gms

Prepare Mangane

Step 1Wash and soak the sabudana aside for 2 hours.

Step 2Add 4 tbsp of ghee to a pan and roast the cashews on a medium flame till golden brown in colour.

Step 3Pressure cook chana dal in 3 litres of water.

Step 4Ensure that the chana dal doesn’t get overcooked, it should have a soft bite to it but at the same time not be mushy in texture.

Step 5Heat a thick bottomed pan, add cooked chana dal strained from its water.

Step 6Add in the Maggi® Coconut Milk and sabudana and let it cook for 20 minutes on medium heat until the sago turns transparent.

Step 7Once the sago is transparent, add in the grated jaggery and mix well to combine

Step 8Garnish with roasted cashew nuts and serve hot.
