How to Make Dodol Sweet

Prepare Dodol Sweet

  • Step 1

    Preparing the Batter:

    • a. Begin by mixing rice flour with Maggi® Coconut Milk thin in a bowl to create a lump-free batter. Strain the rice flour prior to mixing to ensure a smooth consistency.
  • Step 2

    Dissolving Jaggery:

    • a. In another bowl, dissolve jaggery in warm water to create a thick syrup. Ensure the jaggery is completely dissolved and the syrup is smooth.
  • Step 3

    Cooking the Dodol:

    • a. Transfer the batter mixture into a pan and cook it until it thickens.
    • b. Gradually add the jaggery syrup to the batter mixture in the pan, stir continuously to prevent lumps and ensure even mixing.
    • c. Once the mixture thickens and the jaggery is caramelized, add Maggi® Coconut Milk thick and continue stirring.
    • d. Add broken cashew nuts, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness. Stir continuously until the Dodol mixture leaves the bottom of the pan. Setting the Dodol:
    • e. Grease a glass tray with ghee.
    • f. Once the Dodol mixture is ready, transfer it to the greased bowl and level it evenly.
    • g. Brush the surface of the Dodol with ghee on all sides to prevent it from sticking.
    • h. Allow the Dodol to set overnight or for several hours until firm. Demolding and Serving:
    • i. After the Dodol has set, carefully demold it from the glass tray.
    • j. Slice the Dodol into desired shapes and serve.
