  • Maggi® Coconut Milk Thin

  • Fresh Grated Coconut
    200 gms
  • Onion (finely chopped)

How to Make Fish Caldine

Prepare Fish Caldine

  • Step 1

    Making the Paste

    • a. In a mixer grinder, combine grated coconut, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, and garlic cloves.
    • b. Add green chillies, coriander leaves, and a pinch of turmeric powder.
    • c. Blend until a fine paste is formed. Set aside. Marinating the Fish:
    • d. Salt the pomfret fish with a pinch of turmeric powder.
    • e. Marinate the fish and set aside for 15 minutes.
  • Step 2

    Cooking the Masala:

    • a. In a pan, heat oil over medium heat.
    • b. Add chopped onions. Sweat the onions until translucent.
    • c. Add tomatoes and salt. Allow the tomatoes to soften.
    • d. Incorporate the prepared paste and cook for five minutes until fragrant.
  • Step 3

    Adding Maggi® Coconut Milk:

    • a. Pour in the Maggi® Coconut Milk and stir well.
    • b. Simmer the sauce on low heat until it thickens to the desired consistency.
  • Step 4

    Adding the Fish:

    • a. Once the sauce has thickened, gently add the marinated pomfret fish.
    • b. Mix the fish into the sauce and squeeze lemon juice over it.
    • c. Cover the pan partially and let it simmer on low heat until the fish is cooked through.
  • Step 5

    Finishing:

    • a. Check if the fish is cooked completely and curry is creamy thick.
    • b. Once cooked, carefully transfer the fish Caldine to a serving dish.
    • c. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and a slice of lemon.
  • Step 6

    Serving:

    • a. Serve the delicious Fish Caldine hot with steamed rice or bread of your choice.
