Prepare Meen Gassi

Step 1Individually roast all the spices for the paste with coconut oil until fragrant and set aside.

Step 2Put the spices into a mixer jar along with the shallots, garlic, tamarind, and coconut and grind to a fine paste, adding water only as required.

Step 3In a saucepan, heat coconut oil and sauté the sliced onion until they turn pink.

Step 4Reduce the heat to low, add the paste, and sauté for 2 minutes.

Step 5Add 2 cups of warm water and mix. Place the fish pieces on top and cover with a lid (don't mix).

Step 6Allow it to cook for 15 minutes, then gently stir the fish as needed.

Step 7Stir in the Maggi® Coconut Milk and continue cooking until the fish is done. Allow the curry to simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 8Adjust the seasoning with salt & tamarind.

Step 9Turn off the heat and top it with the raw ginger juliennes, garlic slices, a chilli halves, and 2 tsp coconut oil.

Step 10Cover and let sit for 15 minutes before serving.
